Do I need to get fit before starting Kickboxing? Some people believe that they need to get fit before starting Kickboxing and these are generally the people that never join! Kickboxing is what will get you fit fast, so let us get you fit!

What types of shoes are we allowed to wear on the dojo floor? Clean indoor sneakers are allowed for kickboxing bootcamp. Class activities include skipping rope, plyometrics and lifting weights. For your safety clean sneakers will be allowed for this class. Antibacterial spray will be provided to spray your shoes and equipment to help maintain cleanliness in the dojo and for the students who train there.

What is the etiquette when entering the dojo? * Turn Cell Phones OFF * Remove your jacket or hat * Take off your work shoes/ heels- You may only walk on the dojo floor with your clean sneakers or barefoot. * Always walk on the outsider perimeter (along the walls) when walking to the restrooms or changing areas. Please do not walk through a class, keep to the outside perimeter.

Where do we change and keep our personal bags? *Restrooms and the changing area are in the back of the dojo *Lockers are provided but are for Karate members use only *A designated area will be provided for personal bags. *Please keep any personal or valuable items in your car. *We follow the honor system however the Hollywood Dojo is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

What can I expect in a Kickboxing Bootcamp Class? *Kickboxing Bootcamp is a full body workout *Stretches and Warm-up-(basic kicks, punches and elbow strikes) *Muscle burn work-out/ intervals of cardio skipping rope *Boxing techniques/ bag and pad work/ partner work *Cool Down, Yoga stretches

How many times a week should I train? Train as many days as you feel comfortable. Each day focuses on specific body toning. Get full-body toning by training daily! What if I’m not available to train every day or I have to switch class times? Train at your own pace and whatever your availability allows. The more you train the better the results. Classes are open for you to attend at whichever time works best for you.
